Open House: Do this to get Prospects

The ultimate goal of holding an Open House is a potential buyer will come in, love the house,
and buy it. At the least, the agent is hopeful they can get visitor’s information and show
them other homes. As an agent, the worse thing is to hold an Open House and nobody
shows up.

Here is a better way.
Schedule your Open House and create an invitation with all the information.
NOW, go to the neighborhood and knock on every door. Everyone knows people do not like
solicitations, but you aren’t doing that. You’re inviting them to your Open House!
Most people are curious about a home for sale in their neighborhood and you are giving
them all the information. The important part, they are meeting you as an agent. Great time
to give them business cards and ask if they know anyone that might be interested in the
home. You can ask if they know anyone else interested in selling.
You have now turned an Open House into a new way to get prospects to sell or buy.

TIP: If you don’t have a listing that you can hold an Open House… ask another agent if you
can hold an Open House on their listing. Then do the same thing described above.
