Long before computers, cell phones and other of today’s technology, a new agent
joined a Brokerage. On the morning of the agent’s first day, the Broker said “It’s
Training Day” and told the agent to get their box of business cards and come with him.

The Broker then drove to the local grocery store and told the agent to go in, introduce
them self and give everyone in the store a card. The Broker then said he would be back
to pick up the agent. Hours went by and late afternoon the Broker returned to get the
agent. The Broker asked how his day went. The agent replied, “Every time I thought I
had given everyone a card more people would come in so I found myself spending the
entire day handing out my business cards.” The Broker responded, “Today you learned there is an endless amount of potential
buyers and sellers you just have to get out and meet them.

TIP: Always give someone 2 business cards. Tell them one is for you and the other for
anyone they might learn that is interested in buying or selling real estate.
